You are invited to join us for our 14th Annual WinterFest
Families can kick off the holiday season with a day of craft-making, games, face painting, music and more at the 14th Annual WinterFest at Hale Halawai from 10:00am to 1:30pm on Saturday, December 14th. Following Hawai’i Montessori’s WinterFest there will be a talent show presented by the Temana Rose School of Dance from 2:00pm – 8:00pm.
Incorporating a Japanese themed event this year, Hawai‘i Montessori Schools will provide a special holiday performance at 10:00 a.m., just prior to the onset of festivities. We will also be featuring entertainment from Aikido Demonstrations, Taiko Drummers, Bon Dancing and a Japanese Tea Ceremony.
Children can chose to make an assortment of festive crafts at the craft tables, win prizes at a variety of everyone-wins game booths, play in a party bouncer, have their face and hair painted. The whole family will enjoy browsing the sweets and savories at a sumptuous bake sale as well as visiting the various vendors displaying their fabulous wares.
The Silent Auction will feature dozens of items and services donated from community businesses including 31 Bags, Artistic Creations Tattoo Studio, ATV Outfitters, Big Island Candy, Body Glove Cruises, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, Captain Zodiac, Costco, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Jamba Juice, Jr. Music Academy, Lea’le’a Fitness in Kamuela, Lehua Jewelers, Ocean Sports, Origami Owl, Persimmon’s, Petco, Sports Authority, Waikiki Aquarium and Waipio Ride The Rim to name a few.
Admission to WinterFest is free, and each booth requires a nominal fee for participation. Coupon books, valued at $16, may be purchased for $10.00 in advance at both the Kona and Kamuela Campuses of Hawai‘i Montessori Schools. The coupon books include tickets for crafts, games and bouncer activities.
